Fab-Form Zont Twist™ Bracket – ICF Wall Bracing Bracket

The Zont Twist™ Bracket is the core of the Zont™ ICF bracing system from Fab-Form. It locks 2×4 walers and strongbacks against the wall to flatten it in both directions. The plastic cam twists counterclockwise to lock the lumber, which cuts installation time significantly. The cam is designed so that any wall settlement tightens the lumber against the wall.

Zonts are screwed to the ICF webs with two #8 x 1-1/2″ deck screws. The horizontal walers go in next, then the vertical strongbacks. No Form Lock is needed with the Zont system.

Because the horizontal walers touch the wall first, the wall straightens horizontally before it straightens vertically. Conventional vertical braces touch it vertically first, which can leave a wavy horizontal alignment.
