Build anything with ICF.
Insulated Concrete Forms are used to build any exterior or structural wall for just about any application. The options are endless.
Frost Walls
Whether it’s a Stem Wall, Frost Wall or Grade Beams, ICF is ideal for speed and saving you on formwork materials and waste.

Foundations & Additions
ICF Foundations are becoming more common for applications below-grade like Basements, Additions, and Garden Suites.

Custom & Net-Zero Homes
From footings to the roof, an ICF home provides a quieter, dry, warm and strong disaster resilient home. Build your next generational high performance home with ICF.

Multiplexes & Multi-Storey
Insulated concrete walls between units help with fire separation and sound control, and ICF combines structure and insulation into one assembly for low and mid-rise projects.

Affordable Housing & Commercial
CMHC Affordable Housing, Warehouses and Institutional buildings benefit from a durable structure, low-maintenance and energy efficient building envelope with ICF.

Agricultural

More ways to build with ICF.
The six applications are the most common but the benefits and uses for ICF construction are almost endless. The strength of reinforced concrete, insulation on the exterior and interior face, disaster resilient from fires, floods, tornado and hurricane winds, sound deadening properties are just a few reasons why ICF walls and buildings that last over 100+ years.
Swimming Pools
The poured, reinforced core resists soil and water pressure. Foam on both faces keeps heat in, so a heated pool costs less to run.
Retaining Walls
A rebar-reinforced concrete core is sized for the soil pressure at each wall height. The foam face gives the concrete a barrier against frost and moisture.
Garden Suites
Continuous insulation in a slim wall leaves more usable floor area on a tight lot. The solid wall also helps with sound and fire separation from the main house and neighbours.
Garages & Workshops
Solid walls shrug off impact, and there are no hollow cavities for rodents or damp. A heated workshop holds its temperature with less heating.
Cottages & Cabins
Thermal mass and a tight envelope keep the building from swinging between extremes temperatures and provide low maintenance between seasons.
Safe Rooms
Reinforced concrete walls are the standard way to meet FEMA 361 and ICC 500 for wind-borne debris. The shelter is designed and engineered per project.
Hotels & Hospitality
ICF walls provide fire separation, sound proofing and energy efficiency for low running-costs.
Cold Storage
No thermal bridging and no air leakage keep refrigeration loads down. The insulation helps to keep the temperature controlled.
Data Centers
Thermal mass and a tight envelope reduce swings in cooling load. The concrete core adds fire resistance, security, extreme weather protection. And more importantly, sound deadening.
Stair & Elevator Cores
With our ecf inserts, an exposed concrete side for the shaft and continous insualtion on the other for the fire separation.
Schools & Community Buildings
ICF walls give the fire resistance, sound isolation between classrooms and gyms, and impact toughness. They also keep maintenance low over a long service life.
Long-Term Care Homes
Residents can’t always evacuate quickly, so compartmentation matters. Solid walls also reduce noise between rooms and keep temperatures even.
Places of Worship
Reinforced concrete walls can run to sanctuary heights. Mass keeps outside noise out, and the envelope steadies temperature in a large volume.
Government & Municipal Buildings
Public owners carry a building for decades. Durable walls, low energy use and minimal maintenance suit that.
Military Buildings
ICF has been used on barracks designed to the DoD anti-terrorism standard (UFC 4-010-01), such as Schofield Barracks in Hawaii. Blast and progressive-collapse design is done per project.
Police Stations
A concrete core resists forced entry and impact. Police stations are essential facilities that need to keep operating.
Fire Stations
The IBC classes fire stations as essential facilities, so they need to stay standing in a storm. Solid walls also keep noise out of sleeping quarters.
