ICF Waterproofing Systems
Below-grade ICF walls need protection from soil moisture and groundwater. We supply the three layers of a typical system: a membrane on the exterior wall face, sealants and primers for seams, penetrations and terminations, and drainage board that carries water to the footing drain. Each has its own data sheet, and we can help you match the system to your wall and site.
Buy online or in store from TruForm ICF in Mississauga, with delivery across the GTA and Ontario. Check that any membrane, primer or sealant is compatible with EPS foam, and follow the manufacturer’s instructions and your engineer’s requirements for waterproofing and backfill.
The range.
Peel-and-stick membrane
A self-adhered membrane applied to the exterior face of below-grade ICF walls to resist moisture and water entry.
- Applied to a clean, dry, primed EPS surface
- Lapped seams and sealed terminations at the top of the wall
- Suited to foundations and other below-grade ICF walls
- Confirm EPS compatibility and temperature limits on the data sheet
Sealants & primers
Primers and sealants prepare the wall for the membrane and seal the details where water finds its way in: seams, corners, penetrations and terminations.
- Primer prepares the surface so the membrane bonds
- Sealants for seams, penetrations, corners and terminations
- Choose EPS-safe products, since some solvent-based products can damage foam
- Match to the membrane manufacturer’s system
Drainage board
A dimpled drainage board carries water down the wall to the footing drain and protects the membrane from backfill.
